The APS annually provides grants and scholarships totaling $35,000 to five universities in Armenia and Artsakh, and to graduate students in the United States. Rafik Ayvazi, the scholarship chairman of 2001 and the committee, will base their decision on the following criteria: academic standing, honors received, accomplishments, the degree of difficulty of the graduate University program, references, involvement in the Armenian community and California residency (past, present or future).
