YEREVAN, May 25 (Noyan Tapan). The Armenian representatives successfully performed
in the European Championship on Greek-Roman wrestling held in Belgrade. Two
out of six members of our national team Roman Simonian (55 kilograms) and Levon
Geghamian (84 kilograms) placed the second in their weight categories and became
the winners of silver medals in the European Championship.
In the team competition the Armenian national team placed the seventh, which
can also be considered as success. Twice champion of Olympic Games Armen Nazarian
(60 kilograms), a former member of the Armenian national team, a current member
of the national team of Bulgaria, again confirmed his high class and won a gold
medal.
