QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TO BE INTRODUCED

YEREVAN, APRIL 9, ARMENPRESS: National center for promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises is starting introduction of the so-called ISO 9001-2000 quality management system. The project is part of a government plan of actions aiming to support business development.

The program targets in the first place domestic companies with export potential in order to expand their capacities. Its other components are improvement of business environment and ethics and raising the local companies' management and operation efficiency.

The center is releasing in ten days a special booklet with complete information about how the system should be introduced. It will be distributed to local companies free. The center will provide also other sorts of assistance and consultation. Some 50 million Armenian drams will be spent on its fulfillment.
