33 Enterprises Privatized In Armenia

YEREVAN, May 20 (Noyan Tapan). As many as 33 enterprises (companies) were privatized in Armenia during the first four months of this year, among them 24 were privatized through direct sale, six were privatized though tenders, two were privatized through auction, one was privatized through free subscription to state shares. Manuk Ter-Stepanian, the Spokesman for the Department of State Property Management attached to the RA government, told NT's correspondent that 11 enterprises (companies) were privatized in April alone.

It was mentioned that during the same period monetary revenues to the state budget received from privatization made about 604 mln, 10 thousand drams (about $1 mln, 37 thousand), among them 388 mln, 168 thousand drams were received from the privatization of enterprises, 212 mln, 664 thousand drams were received from the privatization of small facilities, and 3 mln, 178 thousand drams were received from the privatization of incomplete construction projects.

According to Manuk Ter-Stepanian, during the indicated period the RA government made a decision about the dissolution of two companies, two companies were dissolved, two companies are in the process of dissolution now. Court rulings were made about the bankruptcy of four companies, and cases of bankruptcy of four companies are in the court.
