30 MAY, AZG DAILY. Member of the royal family of the Netherlands, doctor of jurisprudence, Hendri de Freese, visited recently the third largest Armenian town of Vanadzor for the second time together with the executive director of Aznavour charitable organization Vartan Hovhanessian.

They met with the governor of Lori province Henrik Kochinian to discuss issues concerning construction of a state of the art medical center. Signing a construction agreement concluded the meeting. The new medical center that will bear the name of Dutch prince Klaus, is only part of a bigger project, which foresees unprecedented financial and technical investments in the province.

Construction is set to start in August and is supposed to be over at the end of 2004. The medical center will comprise a diagnostic center, a maternity hospital and 200 berths in the hospital. Maternity house and gynecologic services will be free; other services will be available on insurance basis. It will also have an emergency service.
