MAY 29, NOYAN TAPAN. Property tax will be also levied from incomplete construction
projects of different importance in Armenia soon. With the purpose of specifying
levying mechanisms and used property tax the RA government made a decision
about the classification of incomplete construction projects into three degrees
of incompletion: till 50% incompletion, with 50-80% incompletion and over
80% incompletion.
Manuk Vardanian, the Chairman of the State Committee of Realty Cadaster attached
to the RA government, said after the May 29 sitting of the RA government that
about 80,000 incomplete construction projects of different importance are
registered in Armenia now, almost half of them is situated in Yerevan.
According to Manuk Vardanian, property tax will be levied from incomplete
construction projects according to the amount of rate set by the RA law "On
Property Tax", and levied sums will be funneled to community budgets.
According to another decision of the RA government, the order of exchanging
information about sums subject to levying and levying base of property tax
was clarified among the State Committee, tax bodies and local government bodies.
