MAY 30, ARKA. The Council of Republic of Belarussian National Assembly ratified agreement on non-visa trips of Armenian and Belarussian citizens, signed in Minsk on June 6, 2002 and approved by the Chamber of Representatives on May 22, 2003. Nikolay Cherginets, chairman of the Council’s Standing Commission for International Affairs and National Security, said while submitting the draft that the citizens of one of the states are entitled to enter, to transit and stay in the other without visa with one of identity documents.
According to the law, the citizens of Belarus are set to have
a national or diplomatic passport or national identity card of a sailor. Nikolay
Cherginets believes that the ratification and further enactment of the law will
promote the ties of friendship and will strengthen economic, trade, technical
and cultural relations between the countries.
