Tufenkian company sees good prospects
for tourism development in Armenia

Yerevan ­ The company is building hotels in remote areas of the country that have potential in terms of tourism development. A nice and comfortable hotel will open in August in the village of Tsapatagh near Lake Sevan. This village is situated 140 km from Yerevan and has 120 families, mostly refugees. Construction of the hotel started a year ago, and villagers already make big plans for the future. Some of the villagers work on the construction, others provide food to construction workers. First guests of the new hotel are expected to arrive in august. A similar hotel will be built in Dzoraget, Lori Marz in 2003. This will be followed by hotels in Vayots Dzor, Syunik and Gyumri, and will contribute to the development and prosperity of the countryıs remote regions.
