Womenıs
World Day of Prayer
The AMAA organized a service dedicated to Womenıs World Day
of Prayer. The service included songs, reading of Psalm 96:1-3,
responsive reading, a message and prayers for the women, the
government and the people of Samoa island. Printed prayers and
a song were given out to those present.
At the invitation of the AMAA, leaders and members of the Evangelical
Church of Armenia, the Evangelical Armenian Baptist Church,
the Evangelical Church of Yerevan, the Armenian Evangelical
Brotherhood and the Brotherhood of the Armenian Apostolic Church
were present at the service.
This was a great opportunity for the members of the different
churches to deepen relationships with one another and strengthen
their spiritual bonds, through the power of prayer.
Rev. Rene Leonian Visited Iran
The Armenian Evangelical Church of Tehran invited Rev. Rene
Leonian to give lectures for five days in connection with the
1700th anniversary of Christianity in Armenia. A meeting was
held in the Evangelical Church of Tehran, which was attended
by a great number of people, members of the Armenian Evangelical
Church and the Armenian community. Rev. Leonian also visited
Isphahan.
Friendly visits were made to the leaders of the Armenian Apostolic
and Catholic churches. These visits were a great opportunity
for the strengthening and developing of the relationship between
the churches of Armenia and Iran.
Prayer Requests
We covet your prayers for the following:
Praise God for the "Young Virtuosos" ensembleıs safe
journey to and back from Australia and for successful concerts.
Pray for the children of Armenia to live and grow in good conditions,
and for faith to develop and grow in the hearts of the new generation.
Praise
God for the "Yerg-Yergots" choirıs trip to France and for their
program in general. Pray that a new generation might come forth
for the leadership of the social and spiritual life of our country.
Pray for the women of Armenia, as the hard conditions
in Armenia make their lives rather difficult. May the Lord grant
them strength and patience to bring up their children in the
right way.
Pray
for the Christians of Iran, so that they might remain faithful
to their faith.
